Beta Symbol
The beta symbol is the second letter of the greek alphabet. Beta derived from the Phoenician letter "beth," has been in use for over 2,700 years. It's the ancestor of our Latin "B." The uppercase Beta looks identical to our "B," while the lowercase form (β) has a distinct curvy shape. In ancient Greece, beta was associated with the number two and often represented duality or second place.
